We welcome children of all ages in our Worship Service. At the Information Center in the rear of the Sanctuary, we offer children a “Book Bucket” with books and activities for their use. Parents, please do not be concerned if your young child cries. We believe that the cries of young children signal that the church is alive, well, and destined to continue for generations to come.

We invite you to join us for a time of fellowship after each Sunday’s worship service.

Sunday School Resumes logo

Redeemer Sunday School Resumes

Starting on Sunday, May 5, 2024, from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., in the Christ Center adjacent to the Sanctuary, Sunday School will re-convene at Redeemer. We will have classes for both adults and for children.

Jaye Moelk and Jamie Stahl, along with additional parent teachers, will be leading the children’s class, which will incorporate both a time of learning and a time of physical activity for the kids.

The adult class will be led by Bob LeSuer, and is entitled “The Way Forward.” In this class, we will be looking both forward and backwards in the life of this congregation.

  • In Part I, we will look at Redeemer’s DNA: who we are and how we got here. In this way, we will introduce to new members and prospective members, as well as remind older members, what it means to be in the Christian, Protestant, Reformed, and EPC church families, and why our worship looks like it does.

  • Part II will engage those attending from the congregation in a discussion of where we are going and how we will get there. We will be addressing the realistic hopes and dreams for Redeemer, including three possible ways forward and the specific strategies that might support each of these pathways. This will be a time of visioning our future together, and looking at some specifics of what each alternative might look like. This will also provide an opportunity for all participants to be a meaningful part of determining the shape Redeemer will take, as it moves into the future God has in store for us.

We will plan to meet for six Sundays from May 5th through June 16th, with a break on Sunday, May 19th, due to a Koinonia being hosted by Weis Library UMC in the Christ Center that Sunday. We invite you to plan to attend these important times of discussion and learning. We hope to see you there!

Monthly Prayer Focus logo

April, 2024

The April Prayer Focus for our church families was written by a member of the Redeemer congregation. During the month, let us uphold our families, trusting in the power of the Lord Jesus Christ to mend what is broken, to restore what is lost, and to strengthen the bonds that unite us. May our homes be sanctuaries of Christ’s love and grace and healing, where each family member finds solace and support amidst life’s challenges.

Let us pray fervently for:

  • The healing of broken relationships and reconciliation. Ask God to prepare us for the role we may need to play in the restoration process, whether it be to speak up, to listen, or to reach out. May forgiveness abound and may hearts be softened and be opened to healing and restoration.

  • Those family members who have wandered away from walking with our Lord Jesus Christ. May they be guided back to the path of faith. May the light of God’s love illuminate their hearts once more. May we be ready to rejoice at their return to the fold.

  • Our children, as we bring them up, that they would come to know the Lord Jesus Christ and to love Him with all their hearts, souls, minds, and strength.

  • Our families to serve as beacons of hope and faith, drawing people closer to the embrace of our Savior.

As a Church, How are We Doing?

At the Meeting of Session on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, the Ruling Elders adopted 2024 Goals and Enabling Objectives for the Congregation of Redeemer Presbyterian Church. You may review these Goals and Objectives by clicking here.

As the people of Redeemer move forward, serving as abassadors for Christ and His Kingdom to a needy world, we must strive for continuous improvement. These Goals and Enabling Objectives give us some markers by which we can evaluate our forward movement. As Session continues to discuss and work with these Goals and Objectives for 2024, they will share additional strategies to implement them.

Therefore, we urge each of you to very prayerfully and thoughtfully review the Goals and Enabling Objectives for 2024 and consider how you will help your brothers and sisters at Redeemer facilitate the the realization of these Goals and Objectives.

Prayer Requests

More and more, we want to become a praying church. Thus, we want to continually hold each other up in prayer.

We want to celebrate your joys. We want to rejoice with you concerning the answers you’ve received to your prayers. And, we want to know about your trials, sorrows, difficulties, and concerns so that we can earnestly and fervently pray with you and pray for you.

Please don’t wait until Sunday to share with us. We welcome your Prayer Requests all week long.

If you have a Prayer Request during the week, you may connect with our prayer warriors through our Facebook “Praise and Prayer” page. Or, especially if your prayer request is of a more confidential nature, please send an email to the email address noted below.

Upon receipt, we will either activate our Prayer Chain enabling our prayer warriors to pray for your request; or, if you mark your request “Confidential,” we will only share your prayer request with the Pastor and our three Ruling Elders.

To send us a Prayer Request by email, please just click here.
